Mattapoisett Lions to host recycling event | Sippican

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Lions Club is sponsoring an electronics and household appliance recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21 in the parking area next to Jacks Kitchen, 22 County Road, Mattapoisett.

Payment of $35 is required for televisions and $20 for computers, laptops, monitors and tablets. 

A donation of $5 is requested for cell phones, land line phones and computer accessories including keyboards, mice, speakers, drives, printers, memory cards plus video games, camera/video/audio equipment, fax/copy machines, wires and plugs.

A $5 donation is also requested for small household electric appliances, including toasters, irons, hair dryers, microwaves ovens, toaster ovens, can openers, amplifiers, pre-amps, set top TV boxes, scanners, shredders, blenders, mixers and coffeemakers, metal poles (less than 8 feet long), metal desks, barbecue grills (no propane tanks), pots and pans.

A $10 donation is requested for each large household appliance, including refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, stoves, ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers.

A maximum fee of $45 will be charged per carload for donation requested items.
